Very charming, close to beach, close to fun downtown area.
Close to train tracks, but not bothersome.

Great value for the money! It was close to the beach and within walking distance to the downtown with restaurants and bars. It had clean, spacious rooms and beautiful, clean grounds.

You can't beat the price for the location. Walking distance ot the beach, Main St. (shopping & resturants/bars).
There is a train behind the hotel. Call ahead and request a room far away from it.

Floors/carpets not very clean; parking scarce.

It was right by the ocean.
There was a train track immediately behind the hotel and a train disruppted our sleep during the night and early morning.

very loud train goes by every couple hours at night.

Nice older place, but the fact that it has train tracks adjoining the property, I cannot recommend this place. Hard to sleep when a train goes by every couple of hours blowing there horn.

Wonderful location, close to the pier, beach, park, movies and restaurants.
Rooms located in rear of hotel are close to train tracks and as heavy freight trains travel through your whole room shakes.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Vagabond Inn Ventura, we will defiantly be returning. I love the location of the Vagabond, we simply walk one to two minutes for a foot bridge and you steps away from the pier, a park, and the beach. My children had a fun time playing in the pool and hot tub. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, blow dryer, iron and ironing board. There continental consisted of dainties, English muffins, bagels, cream cheese, fruit, coffee, flavored creamers, and juice, really it was quite nice. ...read more
